Homecart System

Original NGL-O-branded box for NGH joysticks. The green-striped box is from the earliest run of hardware while the red-striped box soon replaced it. The box included a joystick in plastic bag plus two styrofoam inserts.

The NEO-AEC box branding would soon however replace both of its predecessors and become the norm for NGH joysticks. The box included a joystick in plastic bag plus two styrofoam inserts. Clearly the box pictured was on the US market but as it's also got SNK Japan branding I don't know if it was designed for universal sales or not, and any clarification would be much appreciated.

The Mahjong Controller. If you play the game, this thing is a godsend. The box included a controller in plastic bag (mine came with another bag around the cord) plus two styrofoam inserts and an instruction sheet.

Fighting Stick Neo & F.S.N. II. 3rd-party turbo-fire joysticks from Hori, who groundbreakingly changed the button colour for the 2nd generation of this stick. The box included a joystick in plastic bag plus a cardboard cube around the ball of the joystick.

MAS joysticks. I guess professional-level homebrew from before people even used the term. MAS has its place in Neo·Geo folklore. The 2nd-gen joystick has turbo fire and yes, they even made one for two players.

Imagineer Arcade Stick. This joystick featured slow motion and turbo fire, as well as offering connectivity to the Super Famicom, MegaDrive, NEO·GEO, NEO·GEO CD and PC Engine.

Neo CD

US then Japanese Neo CD joysticks, aka NEO·GEO Controller Pro. The joystick boxes included a joystick in plastic bag plus two styrofoam inserts.

A special two-tone version of the NEO·GEO Controller Pro. The sticker on the box in picture #4 reads "Special Controller Pro 400". The box included a joystick in plastic bag plus two styrofoam inserts.

These two-tone NCD joysticks were also the only type of controller included with either version of the Neo·Geo Deck. I don't know if we will ever know how these things came packaged.

The original NCD pad. The CD box included a joypad in plastic bag.

SFC

The Hori Garou Densetsu 2 Commander for the Super Famicom. Has standard and "Garou" modes and includes an instruction card.

Dreamcast

The ASCII Stick FT Special -SNK Version. The box included the joystick and whatever the paperwork is pictured. Anything else? This was produced exclusively for the Dreamcast version of Capcom vs SNK.

PS2

The NEO·GEO Pad 2. Included was the joypad in a plastic bag, an instruction sheet and a commemorative KOF phone strap. Next is the NEO·GEO Stick 2. The box included the joystick in plastic bag, cardboard inserts and an instruction sheet.

NEO·GEO Stick 2, Mark Of The Wolves version. The box included the joystick in plastic bag, an inner cardboard top sheet, cardboard inserts, an instruction sheet and the PS2 port of Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

NEO·GEO Stick 3, Nichirin version. The box included the joystick and inner cardboard top sheet, cardboard inserts, an instruction sheet and the PS2 port of The King of Fighers: Orochi Saga.

NEO·GEO Stick 3, Gekkou version and NEO·GEO Stick 3, Ougi version. Each box included the joystick in plastic bag, cardboard inserts and an instruction sheet.

PS3

PS3 version NEO·GEO Stick 2 and NEO·GEO Pad USB. The NEO·GEO Stick 2 included the joystick in plastic bag, cardboard inserts and an instruction sheet.

Wii

Wii version NEO·GEO Stick 2. Hopefully someone can tell me how exactly it came packaged.
